Englewood Cliffs Planning Board establishes development fees

ENGLEWOOD CLIFFS - The Mayor and Council approved an ordinance, on July 10, tying up loose ends when it eliminated the Board of Adjustment in 2012. The ordinance puts on paper escrow deposits and other variance application fees that were previously collected by the Board of Adjustment but are now handled by the Planning Board.

Ilan Plawker, Englewood Cliffs councilman, dies at age 78

Ilan Plawker, an Englewood Cliffs businessman who became known for his outspoken and aggressive approach to local politics, died Thursday of lymphoma, according to Terry Plawker, his wife of 55 years.
