LG agrees to reduce height of proposed Englewood Cliffs building

LG Electronics USA has agreed to dramatically reduce the height of its proposed 143-foot office building, in an agreement the company is calling a “win-win solution” for LG and those who had opposed the building because, they said, it would be visible above the tree line on Palisades cliffs.

After big buildup, LG plans for Englewood Cliffs in limbo

One year ago, Englewood Cliffs Mayor Joseph Parisi Jr. stood before a crowd of reporters and called for a compromise to the protracted dispute between LG Electronics USA and those who oppose the company’s plans to build a 143-foot office building along the Palisades cliffs. But even as both sides say they continue to talk, no agreement has been announced, litigation to curtail LG’s plans has stalled, and legislation that would ban tall buildings, like the one proposed by LG, hasn’t moved forward.
