A 50-year-old borough man was arrested Tuesday after police found marijuana plants in his apartment. Officers had originally been called to the building because he was allegedly intoxicated and being verbally abusive to other tenants.

Ex NJ vice principal dies after jumping off Palisades cliffs

Palisades Interstate Parkway police recovered the body of 35-year-old John Norton of Palisades Park near State Line Lookout in Alpine on Sunday. Norton resigned as vice principal of the Elizabeth Avenue School in Franklin in late 2013.

Palisades Park police sergeant pleads not guilty on theft, misconduct charges

Palisades Park Police Sgt. Marc Messing, an 11-year veteran, is alleged to have altered a $1,000 check written to the municipality and to have deposited the funds into his personal account, according to the complaint summons issued by police in January. Messing was suspended after he was charged by borough police.

Families traipse through Palisades Park woods on scavenger hunt in Alpine

The nine explorers – families from Englewood, Oradell and Jersey City – were on a scavenger hunt put on by the commission that runs the park. They looked for acorns, a spider on a spider web, poison ivy and poop, their cameras poised for elusive creatures and fungi.
